Payment Options
Payments are due in full by the first day of class. You will receive an email notification to your Dominican email address that your ebill is ready to be viewed. Log into with your username and password, go to Students>My Student Account and go to Online Payment Center. On the Online Payment Center page you will see a portal on the left called "Your Bills." Here you will find the link to your bill. You will not be mailed a bill.
Accounts that are not paid in full by the first day of class will be charged a non-refundable $90 deferment fee. Accounts are also subject to a 1% monthly finance charge on past due balances.
Forms of Payment
Tuition payments can be made using Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Credit card payments will need to be made online by logging on to , going to Students>My Student Account and then Online Payment Center. Credit card payments will be subject to a 2% convenience fee (2.25% starting Sept. 1, 2025).
Student Accounts accepts eChecks through their online portal. You will find this by logging on to MyDU, going to the Student tab and then to My Student Accounts. Then select the 鈥淕o to Online Payment Center鈥 link. There is no fee for processing an eCheck.
Convenience checks as provided by your card servicer will be accepted at Stars Connect without any Dominican fees.
Please contact the Office of Student Accounts for the bank information to wire your payment.
Students who expect to receive company reimbursement need to turn in a letter from their company by the first day of class each semester. It should explain the companies' policy and that the student is covered for the current semester. There is a $90 deferment fee charged to your account when you have company reimbursement. Dominican expects payment within 30 days of the receipt of grades and allows for only one semester to remain outstanding at any given time. Registration will not be permitted if two or more semesters remain outstanding.
If you are unable to pay in full, you can sign up for the university payment plan.
The university offers a payment plan each semester. During the fall semester payments are due August 5鈥揇ecember 5. In the spring they are due January 5鈥揗ay 5. Please inquire with Student Accounts if you plan to take classes in the summer and need a summer payment plan. There is a $45 fee to enroll in the payment plan each semester. Missed payments will result in a 1% monthly finance charge. You may use any of the forms of payment listed to make your monthly payments.
Tuition Refunds
Full-tuition refunds are only available during the first week of class. Refunds thereafter are issued on a declining sliding scale. In order to be eligible for a refund, you must follow the university procedures for dropping a class:
- Prior to the university鈥檚 add/drop deadline for the term, you should be able to drop online by logging in to .
- After the add/drop deadline, drops need to be processed using a paper drop form obtained from the Registrar鈥檚 Office and signed off on by your advisor.
- The above described procedures are the only accepted methods of dropping a class. Non-attendance/participation in class, emailing the course instructor about your intention to drop, etc., are not acceptable methods for dropping a class.
