Using Your Accommodations
Once you are approved for academic accommodations, you will receive a letter with a list of your approved accommodations. You are responsible for sharing this letter with your professors, and discussing how your accommodations will be implemented in each of your classes. Please note that accommodations are not retroactive, meaning that once you are approved, accommodations cannot be used prior to the date of approval. Approved accommodation letters must be requested every semester. Approved housing accommodations will be communicated to the university Residence Life staff by the ADA Office.
Students with academic accommodations will be added to an ADA Canvas course. The ADA Canvas page includes training resources, agreements, and student-facing policy on how to implement your accommodations. Announcements will be made with reminders on how to request each of your accommodations per semester and you will have access to the correct modules. Please contact ada@dom.edu if you need assistance accessing or using the Canvas resources.
