¡El Futuro Is Here!: Igniting Hope, Cultivando Liderazgo

Hosted by the PASOS Network at º£½ÇÉçÇø, July 29-31, 2025

We invite you to submit proposals for workshops for the ¡El Futuro Is Here! Conference, a transformative gathering focused on empowering Latino/a students, campus ministers, theological educators, faculty, staff, and administrators.

This year’s conference theme, ¡El Futuro Is Here! Igniting Hope, Cultivando Liderazgo, calls us to energize and ignite hope while embracing fullness of community, joy, and resilience, as we navigate the future together. As we journey towards a transformed future, this conference will explore how Latine cultural expressions, lived experiences, and faith practices can ignite hope and cultivate transformative leadership in our communities.

We seek workshops that center on leadership development, cultural celebration, and the practical application of faith-driven hope and joy in Hispanic communities.

Workshop topics may include, but are not limited to:

  • Igniting Hope Through Everyday Practices: How Latinx cultural and spiritual practices offer resilience and joy in daily life, fostering hope amidst challenges.
  • Cultivando Liderazgo: Empowering Latino/a student leaders to become active agents of change in reshaping the future of faith, education, and community.
  • Building Communities of Belonging: Innovative strategies for campus ministers, faculty, staff, and administrators to create communities of faith that celebrate cultural identity and foster inclusive leadership.
  • Faith in Action: Practical strategies for fostering hope, resilience, and leadership in student ministries and campus engagement.
  • Cultural Narratives of Transformation: Exploring stories, expressions, and cultural practices from the Hispanic experience that inspire change, healing, and hope in the face of adversity.
  • Intercultural Competency for Transformational Leadership: Building intercultural competency to lead effectively in diverse environments, with a focus on how Latine students and leaders can navigate and bridge cultural differences to foster inclusive communities.
  • The Role of Joy in Leadership: Exploring how alegría (joy) is central to spiritual and communal life, and how it fuels leadership in Hispanic students and communities.
