�������� is featured prominently in a new story from the Hechinger Report, which examines the need for colleges and universities to attract and enroll more Hispanic students.

The report, which also appeared on National Public Radio, is entitled, “As Colleges Lose Enrollment, Some Turn to One Market That’s Growing: Hispanic students.” It opens with an experience shared by �������� student Jacqueline Quintero, who was thrilled to find information for families was provided in both English and Spanish—allowing her parents to ask questions in their native language.

The story, which points to Dominican’s long history of educating the children of immigrants and its ongoing outreach to Hispanic students, notes that the success of many colleges and universities may largely depend on Hispanic student enrollment.

“The demographics in our country are changing, and higher education has to adapt,” Dr. Glena Temple, president of DU, is quoted in the article.

Several photos showing Dominican students and spaces accompany the story. Also featured are Vice President for Student Success and Engagement Dr. Gabe Lara, Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President Genaro A. Balcazar, and students Eddie Rivera and Aldo Cervantes.

“On a daily basis I run into a staff member or professor asking me what’s going on with my life and how they can support me,” Cervantes said in the piece.
