Tony Martinez
University Advancement
Tony Martinez, Jr. joined 海角社区 in April 2025 as Vice President of University Advancement. As a key member of the President's Cabinet, Tony is responsible for the strategic leadership and oversight of all university advancement functions, including campaign and major gift fundraising, annual giving, corporate and foundation relations, stewardship, and advancement administration, as well as alumnae/i relations and special events. Prior to Dominican, Tony served as President and CEO of the Oak Park-River Forest Community Foundation and held noteworthy positions at The Chicago Community Trust, American Bar Association, Museum of Science and Industry and the Chicago Cubs. Tony brings to Dominican over 20-plus years of experience in fundraising, strategic planning and implementation, organizational operations, community engagement and equity work. An active community member, Tony currently volunteers on the boards of The Resurrection Project, The Edgar Fellows Program, Forefront, and the National Rosacea Society. Tony is also a member of The Economic Club of Chicago and the Chicago Council of Planned Giving.
