As an Educational and Developmental Psychologist, Persis Driver investigates individual and social changes in human cognition and motivation as students learn and interact in teams. Envisioning groups as systems of complex interactions at the level of task, team, and self, she studies how cooperative and collaborative dynamics can foster deep learning, social connections, and a justice orientation within diverse disciplines such as STEM, Education, and Psychology. As an educator, she then applies this knowledge in classrooms, after-school programs, and teacher training workshops.
