Molly Burke is a Professor of Management in the Brennan School of Business. She first started working at �������� in 1973 as the Director of Housing and then served as the Dean of Students for several years before resigning to be at home with her young family. After completing her PhD at Northwestern University, Molly returned to Dominican, as the Director of Career Advising, and then joined the faculty in 1987. In subsequent years, she served as Department Chair of Business Accounting and Economics, Associate Dean of the Rosary College of Arts and Sciences, and Dean of the Brennan School of Business.

During her sixteen years as Brennan’s Dean, the Business School was named after Edward and Lois Brennan, established its first endowed chair in Business Ethics, launched new undergraduate and graduate programs, and was awarded accreditation by the Association for the Advancement of Collegiate School of Business (AACSB). The School also developed a number of international partnerships with universities in China and India, established joint MBA programs with Nicholas Copernicus University in Poland, and Brno University in the Czech Republish and created an enduring partnership with the University of Strasbourg, France.

Molly’s favorite work as a professor is teaching and she feels grateful to work at a university where teaching students is the highest priority. Her consistent goals in the classroom are to help students become more aware of the current events happening in the world in which they live and work, and to help them to develop their skills as strategic thinkers, decision makers and writers.
