Gizem Arat
School of Social Work
Gizem Arat is an Associate Professor in the School of Social Work at º£½ÇÉçÇø. Prior to joining º£½ÇÉçÇø, she got her social work degrees in diverse contexts, including Turkey, USA, and Hong Kong. She also worked in Hong Kong academia to establish a global perspective in social work. Her research interests include social justice-oriented resilience and promotion of multiculturalism in East Asian region as well as developing a multidimensional cultural humility in the US-based social work education. Her recent research projects focus on exploring students' expectations on cultural humility in US higher education.
