Anal煤 L贸pez MLIS 鈥17, Indigenous studies librarian at the Newberry Library in Chicago, has been using her 鈥渄own time鈥 while sheltering at home during the COVID-19 pandemic to live stream videos about treasures from the Ayer American Indian and Indigenous Studies Collection.

The Newberry has one of only two maps in color in the world. The map, created in October 1520 and published in Nuremberg, Germany in 1524, was the first image that Europeans had of Mexico City. Unfortunately, by the time the map was published, Tenochtitlan had been destroyed through Cortes鈥 war of conquest.
