Amy Affelt MALIS ’93 is the Director of Database Research Worldwide at Compass Lexecon, a global economic consultancy, where she finds, analyzes, and transforms information and data into knowledge deliverables for PhD economists who testify as experts in litigation. She is a frequent writer and on Big Data, Internet of Things, adding value to information, evaluating information integrity and quality, and marketing information services.



Amy is the author of two books, "" (Information Today, 2015), and " (Emerald, 2019), and is the Big Data columnist for EContent Magazine. She has a bachelor's degree in history, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a master’s degree in library and information science from º£½ÇÉçÇø. Amy is a Fellow of the Special Libraries Association.
