Chritys' of London is the only company in the world still making quality hats the traditional way. Using hatting skills established 200 years ago, the didication of their highly skilled craftsmen and wome is helping keep a valuble industry alive. Likewise in Ecuador, there are small few preserving the skills to finely hand weave the fibers of toquilla palm used to make Panama Hats. With some 500 hours involved, 1600 threads per square inch of these fibers are woven together and hand blocked to fashion hats of sumptouos and durable quality : quality that can not be achieved by any other means.
